The Caribbean is home to some of the most beautiful islands on Earth, but it’s also on the frontlines of the climate crisis. While the challenges we face are real, the solutions already exist right here in our communities.
That is why we are thrilled to officially launch We Are The Power, a virtual climate leadership program designed to funnel capacity, resources, and training directly into the hands of rising Caribbean changemakers.
This program is a dedicated launchpad for new organizers across the region. Whether you want to start a local climate solution, kickstart a grassroots project, or build a brand-new local group in your community, we are here to provide the blueprint and help you showcase your knowledge and talent.
Over the course of three weeks, selected participants will receive:
- The Complete Toolkit: Complete sets of training slides and actionable worksheets.
- Core Organizing Skills: Practical training on strategic planning, volunteer recruitment, and leading strong groups.
- A Regional Network: Connections to a powerful ecosystem of like-minded Caribbean activists.
- Dedicated Mentorship: Personalized support in a private mentorship opportunity to help refine and successfully launch your project.
The program is built around three core interactive training sessions and an exclusive mentorship phase:
- July 20: Building a climate action organizing plan
- July 21: Recruiting and training new leaders
- August 3: Good practices for leading strong groups
- August 4–20: Mentorship and collaborative spaces
To ensure deep, high-impact mentorship, spaces are limited. Registration is completely free, but you must be ready to commit to the sessions and to collaborate with peers across the region.
